While on the road the other day, I saw an old bus. Actually, I travel on the Illinois tollways every day and I see a lot of coaches.  Got to thinking, it would be nice if I could find out who that bus belonged to.  So I thought I could go thru every entry on the bbs site to see who's bus it was. That would take forever.  So, how much easier it would be if there was a page here that you could see a bunch of buses and click on the one that I saw and get the owner's details from there.
Any thoughts???

Along those thoughts I was thinking it would be nice to have a address in each persons signature line that takes you to the pictures of their coach in the pictures forum. I read someone writing about their coach and always thought it would be nice to be able to click on a link that took you right to their pictures. That is if they had any posted.

While this sounds like a good idea, a lot of folk just don't want their address or personal information listed publicly.

That is why the signature line is a good place to add what you want to display. Go to Profile, Forum Profile Information and add what you want. Links to a personal website or photo storage such as Photobucket. One could just add their state or city for a general idea on location.

To have more bus information listed under your Avatar, add that in the Personal Text option.

Oops my mistake, when I said 'address' I didn't mean a person physical address, I meant the IP address on this site where their pictures might be located. I should have clarified that, a 'link' to the pictures page. I agree I don't think house address's should be display here, to many people travel and that would be an invitation for inviting trouble, sorry for the confusion. Still think a link would be nice, at the moment I go back and forth between posting and coach pictures but have to use the search feature and I am not getting a lot of success when doing so.

I guess more of what I was thinking would be some pages with the information that you already have.  If I click on the name of the sender at the left of this message, it gives you as much of each person's information that they are willing to put into it.  I would like to see more than one at a time. I was not looking for name, address and phone number, but maybe what corner of the earth they come from.

I believe the only option on this particular forum software for folks to share more info about themselves is in their signatures (which display at the bottom of every post they make).  Profiles are always a cool thing to us, we love learning more about people.

By the way, there is a new social networking site for RVers called http://www.RVillage.com (we were part of creating it). It allows you to create a profile with as much or little info as you care to share, and then see who is parked around you. You can also join groups there, and see where others in the group are currently located (and view to their profile to learn more about them.).  There is already a group created for Bus Conversion Magazine that you're welcome to join - http://rvillage.com/group/110/bus-conversion-magazine-fan-club .

Enjoy :)
