Cameron,

Fast Fred doesn't hang out much here, I don't think. He recently posted his remaining weatherstrip on BNO:

I believe those windows were original on the 4104s and many 4106 owners used them as an inexpensive alternative to Peninsula Glass windows.

Nothing I can think of but let me know when you roll into New Orleans. I live less then 5 miles from Bayou Segnette Park. Will bring my favorite muffaletta, you have the beer. :)

A note on the GM opening split style windows: If anyone is/has removed this style set-up it would be great if you could hold on to them. Please do not throw away this stuff without offering it for sale first. You might be surprised at how many guys are wanting these for restoration projects. We don't care if they leak, or the glass is broken. We'll have new rubber made, and glass if we have to. A friend in CA. had to shorten a pair from a 4104 for his Scenicruiser (glass & frames both cut down). The 06 & 04 stuff is still (for now) somewhat out there, but the Scenic ones are not to be found anywhere. I looked for 12 years and only saw two 4501 sets. First set was in a very rough non-running old conversion that was for sale for $6500, and seller would not part with just the windows. I offered enough that he could have paid for new motions version installed! No dice. The second pair I ended up with, thanks to Kyle. He and I bought a pair of Scenics together a few years back, and I got my windows as part of the deal. The same goes for any/all brands, please save what you can.  :)

If you know of the whereabouts of a PD4501 Scenicruiser - I would like to add the serial number to my registry of surviving Scenics.  www.tomsgarageonline.com

Thanks for everyone's help, fast Fred got ahold of me and has 2 sets left for $100 each.  I am just looking for all the other seals first before I decide on rebuilding. Cheers

Have you checked out the large variety of weather seals available from JCWhitney or the multitudinous vendors who advertise in Hemmings ?
