Yes, I'm curious too, as that's what I also plan on doing, sort of.   I've been told I can have a small chest freezer for free, and if it draws low enough power I'll use it on its own Morningstar 300W TSW inverter, using an external thermostat so it runs as a fridge (a "fridger").   I just bought a Kill A Watt P4400 to check its power consumption  -  I wonder how its Watts will compare with its VA?
