Hey ya'll I just checked into a motel room for a few hrs. of sleep in Oxford, then the UT Martin girls basketball team and their driver will be needing the bus I brought down from TN for them while I attempt to find & fix the source of a major water leak on the bus they left in Jacksonville last night about the same time I got a call requesting me to do a service call , & bring 'm a bus  ! Just wondering who may be near or know the area in case I need assistance or help locating parts! Thanks BK  ;D

BK, I was just gonna offer to drive down and give you a hand...   ::)

After all, Mrs Eglluvr took off for a few days to Hawaii (For work   :P  )  so it was just me and the Kids....

And the thought of you stuck down there playin' white knight to all those CoEds....

Just seemed like the Christian thing to do    ;) :D ;D

Thanks for the offer, I do apreciate it greatly. I was lucky it was just a hose that split at a junction that took longer to take the access panel off & putting it back on, took longer than the time to walk across the street to O'Rielley's buy a hose and replace it. I wish all of 'm were that easy! BK  ;D
PS as for the basketball team they and the driver took the other bus and went onto practice, and as I got back here to the hotel they were leaving for the game!

Just a note I drove a '99 VaHool to AL and a '98 Dina home both good driving buses. I have ot admit that when it comes to working on a Dina the access panels are very convienent and super nice, good easy access to all areas around the engine area from top or sides! Also after driving both the same distance I feel like the Dina was the most comfortable/easy on the driver as I was less fatiqued when I got out of it ! But in all fairness to the Van Drool I had been up all day when I got the call at 10:00 PM asking me if I could do this and then grabbed my stuff and was on the road by 11 PM and drove all night to get the back up bus to where the team was so they'd have transportation. SO I was pretty tired when I got in the Van Drool so it may not be a fair comparision! Had I known how easy the fix was gonna be I'd just loaded some tools in the Navigator and drove in style and comfort both ways! But if we'd known how easy it was gonna be we'd still been cheaper in the long run to have called a service truck to fix it but ya never know until ya actually tear into it what ya got! It turned out all that was wrong was a split coolant hose at a junction so I cut of the bad part and bought a piece to replace the other side of the junction long enough to make the junction reach my cut. And was done simple as that 1.5 hrs (total labor) taking 14 bolts out of access panel, taking 3 hose clamps off cutting 8" of bad hose off, walking 2 blocks to parts store and back, 2' of 1.5" coolant hose new clamps and a tub of GoJo (all less than $20.00), putting it back together , 14hrs driving time, fuel for briving second bus down, and a motel room. All together the cost was probably about $800.00 counting labor, parts, fuel, hotel, meals, payroll, and $100 for 2 limo's to get the team back to the hotel after break down (cheap if you ask me for 2 limos at 10:00 at night with no notice! about 1 hr. use apiece!). In my own opinion it would've been cheaper to send the team back in the limo's and called a service truck to come fix it ! BK    ;D
