There was a 4106 at the GM rally that was a tee drive and ISC 330 Cummins with a 3000 series Allison neat set up anyone here know who done the conversion the new owner could not recall the converters name

Do you have any pictures? That sounds like a great upgrade!

I had a talk with the new owner whom is driving it to Alabama to its new home. The work was performed in California and the engine used was a mechanical 8.3 12 valve Cummins (not the ISC, that would be electronic)) that has been "twisted", the new owner isn't sure what the current horsepower numbers are, the trans is an Allison 5 speed and the engine smokes large when he hammers it and going up thru the gears. He was complaining about the fuel mileage and then admitted he cruises 70-75, not very smart for mileage.  The body was stretched 3 feet to accommodate the mod and looks very well done.>>>Dan

It has a electronic MD 3060 transmission and the gearing is way to high it won't shift into 5th overdrive till around 68 mph he told me it's a neat install I don't care much for the thru the roof exhaust pipe but I do like the "thank you" sign on the rear

I guess that's why he thought it was a 5 speed, I have the same combination in my American Tradition and at 30K it performs well. The 3060 trans is a 6 speed with double overdrive so depending on the rear end used, he may be able to change gears in it and get better mileage and performance by "detuning" it.>>>Dan  ( I have doubts that its a 3060, the 3060 trans is electronic and he says it does not use a shift pad)

They do make an electronic T handle gear selector for Allison world transmissions. Good Luck, TomC

Its interesting that anyone would put that much labor and money into a mod of this type without gearing it correctly.>>>Dan

Or put a real motor in it... ;D

Seeing as how a "motor" is an electrical device, I think it was done correctly.>>>Dan
