Any Allison shops in Nashville TN?

We have a fellow Skoolie that is having issues with his A545...be nice!

It was running fine, he went to sleep, got up, fired bus up and it will not shift out of 1st gear
it has a DT466 and is front engine

He is back in Cali and bus is in Nashville, shop said tranny is toasted...doesn't make since to work fine all day and walla..be DOA after the "Bus slept"

Hate to be the party killer here.....but......

That is what happened with ours. Only difference was that we lost ours coming off of an interstate. It sounded like a slight hiccup when we shifted, and we were stuck in 3rd. Wouldn't come out of gear, until we shut it down. Then we were stuck in 1st.

That being said, it wouldn't hurt to have another opinion.

If he has reverse it will be the modulator valve if no reverse he has major problems

he says it goes smoothly into neutral and reverse and 1st so, I told him to check into modulator checks and such
