Furnance tries to light, tires 3 times then blower turns off.  Have replaced new circuit board, pressure regulator valve and tired different propane tanks.  There is propane coming thru line.  Have  additional furnace and tried all the above.  Anyone out there ever had this type of problem?

Good afternoon!  And great speaking with you earlier this afternoon.   ;D

Yes, we fought w/our Suburban furnace in the bus for literally years.

Last year we took it completely apart & cleaned it.  Replaced sail switch, dino/circuit board, leak test, all external valves, etc.

Finally in desperation called out service tech.  There is an internal valve -  Suburban:

Suburban RV Furnace Heater Gas Valve part #  161123  is what was replaced.    About $100 +/-

Since then - 0 problems!

Hope this helps, and please let me know if I can answer any additional questions - not that I'm  an expert, but we've been through a lot w/ours.

Just one critter ---a stinkbug can do it!

One got in my MIG welder--under the contacts --cost $80 to fix a $200 welder!

These bugs are aptly named!

Temporarily jump the sail switch and see if it works

I would guess a flame sensor if it sputters and doesn't keep going.

I don't have it in my mind but you can by pass that with a resistor and and alligator clips to check the operation of a furnace with the gas off.

If it won't go FORCE it ---- if it breaks it needed to be replaced anyway

I had the same symptoms with mine last year. It was a bad limit switch. Jumper it to see if it will work.

On ours it was small frogs across two contacts.just shorted them out.peeled them off and cleaned with tooth brush.works good now. Same thing happened to automatic gate box circuit board and one of the sprinkler timers.
