I have a 24 volt 2,500 watt inverter that came with my bus, but my bus has been converted to 12 volt. The inverter wasn't hooked up, but I had it tested and it works. Im wondering since I need a 12 volt inverter if this 24 volt one is worth anything?

I recommend that you put all the information about what you have in the post when you are ready to sell it.
There are lots of flavors.

I will get all the information from the manuals that I have today and post it. I would rather give it to someone that needs it, but I need to buy one myself and am now on disability

We have two 4K 24V inverters. Kept the wire size smaller.
Sold - MCI 1995 DL3. DD S60 with a Allison B500.

2500 watts is a nice useful size for a lot of people who don't need to run an air conditioner on the inverter.  2500 watts is also the size where people start to go with 24 volt instead of 12 volt, to keep the amp draw and wire size down.  There is no reason you can't keep it and use it, but with a little less convenience.  If it has a charger built in just set up a 24 volt battery bank for it, use an equalizer to draw 12 volts for your house DC requirement and keep the bus start batteries and alternator separate.  If you get the right kind of equalizer you can even charge the 24 volt bank from your 12 volt alternator, but that might be tricky.  Don't forget that 99% of RV's that are trailers are completely separate systems from the tow vehicle as far as charging house batteries are concerned.  No reason in the world that a converted bus can't be the same, so your bus being a 12 volt charging system can be a moot point as far as your house system is concerned.
