MC9 Parking Brake Leaking Down While Running

Yes. I would use a 1" ratchet strap.  It's just so you can open the middle clamp ( where the spring is) and kind of ease it open rather than chase parts around the parking lot.  You can compress the spring by hand easily, but the strap is kind of a third hand.

Once you have them open,  clean the interior of the chambers and smooth any rough surface.  Getting everything really smooth makes all the difference in them not leaking after you put them back together.  We broke a couple of the bolts that hold the the clamp rings on.  You might want to pick up a couple before starting.

Had a hole in one of the diaphragms, and then... I had a severe leak in one of the copper supply lines to the relay valve. The cans were very clean inside though and I was real happy with that. I had to cancel 5 shows in a row but the "Dixie Cannonball" is back up to full pressure and on the road again. Next stop Shawnee OK, Memphis TN, Jackson TN, and Cookeville TN.

Thanks for all the helpful advice. I don't know what I would do without this community!

Glad to hear ya have it fixed.
