Some remodeling done

I just can't seem to leave well enough alone, so I did some bathroom remodel. I posted these pics on FB the other day but I realise some of you guys don't have a Facebook account. I just love some of the new granite and tile they have now a day's! So I changed some.

And now the finished pic.

Dave the Jeep is done and the bus doesn't even know it's there. I'm having a problem with my ragtop though. I'm in the hunt for a hardtop right now. Now I've got to get my blower and turbo upgraded on the bus and we're headed south.

Sweet. That is great looking. remember I was telling about the top problems as a Toad. I don't know if that was what you were talking about. That was why we sold the Mustang convertible. We were warned that it may lose its top as a toad.

Great work, remarkable job on the whole bus, someone wants me to advise him on a large purchase, I told him Id do it if he got me Seayfams mci6 instead! Lvmci...

Paul on our tile in the shower floor walls etc. I use HD Flexbond Thin Set over, wonder-board tile backer. It is poly modified with a lot of flexible poly in it. And then used sanded grout with lots of poly in it also. No cracks or problems.

I was thinking of using clear silicone for the adhesive because there are a few colored glass tiles in it. The tiles are about 5/8 square. It will be an experiment, as it always is.

Dave, I do remember you telling me that, I was having the most problem with the rear door on the ragtop.

Paul, I also used the flex bond thin set in white, then I used polyblend "non-sanded" grout for the glass tiles. The non-sanded wont scratch the glass when you apply it. You can sure have lots of fun with tile now a days! So many nice choices and with a creative mind, the options are endless.

Paul sorry didn't see the glass part. Yep what Gary said non sand. Also because your joints will be less than an 1/8". You do have to be careful depending on your color of glass and how much light will show through. White thin set for lighter colors like his and if you use darker ones the dark grey, medium colors light grey and so on. the white really make them Pop with color and shine. And still put extra poly additive in the non sanded grout for strength and flex- ability.

Gary you being a contractor also will realize how funny it actually is. You even using 1 x1 and a lot using the glass and 2 x2 (Again). I used to build homes and commercial buildings in the late 60's and 70's that we used all of these and then it turned to 4x4 and 12 x12 in the 80's, then granite and patios with 24 x24 and flagstone etc. Now if I was still building I would be tearing out that and putting in the 1x1 and 2x2 again. It all comes around.
