The unsung hero of the parking effort was Ed Hackenbruch.  Ed and Stevi stayed an extra night at the staging area to catch folks who came in late.  He also kept folks informed as to how the parking effort was taking place.  I think he calmed a few folks down who were very anxious to get downtown.  Thanks Ed.

I also have to say how much I appreciated everyone being so patient during the process.

Tom, I can't express enough how I appreciate your putting this rally together. 

I have been to many rallies (all but one of the BCM events, at least two of the Arcadia rallies, lots of Eagles International rallies, and a bunch more) and I have never experienced the "arua" or "atmosphere" of this rally.  The city, the buses, the people, the citizens, etc all made it very special. 

The Eagle folks were sitting around BS'n and said that several citizens walked up and thanked them for being there.

If you ever consider hosting this rally again, please be sure to ask for help.  It is sad when you worked so hard and then missed a lot of the fun.

Thank You Tom for a first class rally. It was a pleasure to see all the classic busses and meet more nice bus people. The only challenge we have is getting home. In kansas now between severe storms on one side and blizzards on the other.

Evansville In Greyhound.   Was transferred to Indiana Landmarks Commission In Late March 2013. No determination as to future plans.  Lots of guesses ;the asbestos ? etc. Evansville has the casino and a great riverfront within walking distance of the station. The four lane drive on the river front gets closed for car shows etc.  I feel I missed THE GREAT ONE!!!!! last minute! taking Tama-flu-- Did not want to bring that present to the get together. The station in Evansville still stands.  Is clean in outward appearance and in a thriving part of the old Downtown.  Bob

Clifford, they chose a sweet spot to wait it out. Salina should be right between the storms. Brilliant location, because they might get a little snow tomorrow morning (my bet is none to not much) and very little rain. The severe stuff usually slides Northeast below Salina. Not to mention I doubt that we will have anything of real importance this go around. Not enough sun today and they are saying that anything would be later tonight. Our severe stuff is usually mid to late afternoon after it has been sunny.

You guys enjoy your stay. Not much to do there, except for the zoo . Actually that Central Power out there is where we go if we need any good/real work done our engine or tranny. We usually try to avoid the KC Central Power.

The '68 Flxliner is part of my friend Stan Holter's historic fleet out of Richfield, MN.  They own 2 bus companies and about 60 vintage buses, many of which have been restored.

We also had a great time at the rally. OR vintage bus tour as it was billed. Tom did an awsome job. Next time more of us need to step up to offer a smal bit of time to takea load off Tom's back. Anne thinks he will go home and have a much deserved nervous break down. I said He would just rub some used DD oil on the ruff spots and he will be OK.
I did not have much time to sit and talk with our Eagle friends. I was busy giving house tours to both locals and other bus fans.
What got me was how many folks came from great distances to be there without a bus. Some had a bus in some stage of broke or just not ready others were just big bus fans. Spoke to one guy from Australia and IF I understood him correctly he flew in just for the event.
We made it to The Landing which is our little acre of earth just north of Wichita,KS. Sure missing Tucson right now. We did leave AZ early to be at The Rally
Just had the temps drop from mid-70s to 60 with wind and rain. Sure is pretty this time of year with all the blooming trees showing off.

What A Great Time Stephanie And I Had !! Ed Said It Well As Did Jim....There Was A Special Feeling Going On... Well, (Until I Ran Out Of Beer )..The Blues Was In The Air. Thats Right !!  We Had A Mempis Blues Band Play For Us On Saturday Night At The Depot. WOW...That Manny Can Dance !! LOL.

It Was Real COOL To Meet All You Guys ...And Hang Out With Old Friends Too.... The Rain On Thursday Was OK For Me. It Takes Me Back To Those Cold Rain Soaked Swap Meets In Michigan As A Kid....

Thank You Tom For A Great Job Done. And L.C. And Megan Were The Bomb !! I Cant Wait To Go Back.

Sorry To Hear Your Stuck In Kansas Mark, Wayne/Lynn... Im Leaving The Farm Here In Kansas About 3AM Snow,Ice Or Not.....Gotta Be In Denver Tomorrow Morn..... WOW It Sure Is Windy And Cold Outside As I Write This... Its Blowing Ice Balls Sideways  Im Hoping They Dont Close I-70.

I have not seen this mentioned, but some pictures reminded me. 

The Greyhound terminal was empty before the rally.  Tom brought all of the displays.  There may have been others, but I saw Tom and his friends unloading a lot of stuff.

Another reason to thank Tom for an unbelievable and amazing rally.
