Thanks Dave, Paul, and Boomer.

Still loading the bus. I hope I have room for my passengers on the ride down! Bringing 12-15 best I can remember.

If you know of the whereabouts of a PD4501 Scenicruiser - I would like to add the serial number to my registry of surviving Scenics.  www.tomsgarageonline.com

RJ, Rick and anyone helpful,

As you all are taking in the magnificant site of this weekend. Would someone bother the 4104 owners and see I that crazy guy online (Me) have hit them up for their buses serial number yet. This year I have run into a lot of folks getting touchy about VIN number. Now I am using serial number (same thing, go figure).

Thanks in advance.

Wish I could have gone, but got to make time/pay for all those furlough days this year.

Mike, it looks like you are not registered.  We will make sure you get parked in the general area, but we need to give priority to the registered buses.  If you arrive on Wednesday or early Thursday, be sure to stop at the staging area.

There is not anything to bring.  There is at least one catered meal and there might be enough "overage" to handle a very small number of non-registered folks.  If we do, I will let you settle up with Tom when you get here.

Hi all,

We made it to Blytheville yesterday afternoon and it was already looking like a Great rally!  With all of the antique GM, Flex, Eagle and MCI the area around the depot looks like a slice of early Americana. I have to say that this event is very well organized and the town has pulled out all the stops. We met LC the local event organizer and he was enthusiastic about things so far. We haven't met Tom McNally yet, but kudos to him for setting this up!

I've got to put a plug in for Jim Shepherd who, it appears, is handling most of the bus parking logistics and he is doing a fantastic job!  The really old iron is clustered around the depot and the more current rigs are very close by.

Wendy is covering the rally for Bus Conversions Magazine and there will be pics posted on our blog. If you haven't subscribed to BCM, now would be a good time as there will be lots of coverage in the months to come.

Regards,
Jim

JL Vickers & I arrived a few minutes ago in his 4905, but we're holed up at the Holiday Inn right now because we forgot our rain boots to accomodate the heavy rain that's falling at the moment.

Talked to a Mr John Nelson of BPD, who was extremely cordial, and even got a complete tour of the coach - big grin on his face the whole time!  He's pretty impressed with what's going on, and told us that BPD got internal memos about the event and are thoroughly focused on customer service for us.  Very cool to have PD backing for a bus rally!!

Headed over to the bus staging area in about an hour, will follow up with pics tonight.
