I have another project that I am working on, and this unit has a windshield that has the white haze known as fog around the perimiter.  Does anyone know what this really is, and it external or internal to the window.

Thanks

High prob is safety film between glass layers. If Prevost their windshields are on special several times a yr under $200 including shipping and not that hard to change.  Bob

Had several of the windows in my 5A that were that way and a couple of more were cracked so i just replaced them all with windows from Peninnsula Glass.

Yup, what Bob says.

Plastic safety liner fading out at edges, exposed to elements at edge of glass, old seals usually involved too.

No cure, tight dry seals, all the time, in and out, over the years, is the only prevention.

Same as most of us, a little gray around the edges adds some character?

happy coaching!

Thanks, as I feared it is internal - I guess new is the only way forward.

Depending on how far in the fogging has moved you can tape off the glass, lightly prep and paint a flat black edge around the glass.  Similar to the edging you see on new cars.

I had a similar issue with my bus.  The windshield seals were leaking so I took it to a glass shop to ask about getting new seals or something.  They told me the windshields were delaminating and that the windshields would likely break if removed.

I put it off for a while due to cost and finally remembered I have full glass coverage.  My insurance covered the windshields with no deductible.
