Kristine, when I was looking for jakes for my 6V92 the best price I could find was $925 through H.B. Industries 619-561-9048. The units were supposedly reconditioned (have my doubts).

I believe you have an 8-71, so your price will be higher.

I am a bit hesitant to recommend Bob, as I had quite a few of issues with the whole transaction.  One brake housing had the wrong piston and I never did get reimbursed for a bad pressure switch.  However, every other person on the board thinks that H.B. is a good company.

You will need the complete installation kit including fuel lines, valve covers (or spacers), the housings and lots of other little parts.  Installation sounds rather straight forward, but the process includes most of the steps that are the same as "running the rack" and you have read that that process requires a very special mechanic who knows two strokes inside out.  Be sure that they finish all of the steps of running the rack, since they are in there anyway.

Talk to Don Fairchild, I think he has some 661 301 4648
HB is also a really decent guy.  IF he says they're refurb'd, I'd believe him.
He's local I've cone business with him (and Don too)
Both guys are honest and excellent
