Have seen more new to hobby lately than leaving. Then you have ones moving to another bus,#4 for me. Last one!  It is a cycle and with entry prices low now is attracting new interest. And yes I will hang up keys someday.   Bob

Bus ownership if you can do the mechanical work yourself is not all that bad paying 130 bucks a hr for labor is a killer lol Some morning you can start the engine and boom up in smoke on all brand of engines not just a DD you are 2000 miles from home what then.

I have a friend that blew a engine when Valley Power got through with him the final bill was over 50 grand and 19 months later the turbo came apart and went through the engine

Now he has 80 grand in 2 engines a beautiful factory converted Monaco Eagle bus he trying to sell for 100 grand and no takers.

Dave being from Texas I remember the .13 cent gasoline and .11 cent a gal diesel never it was over .25 cents till 1972 we are telling our age here buddy lol

So 197 gal. x .11 a gal is $21.67 WoW  how do you time travel !!!   So min. wage at .95 per hr = 22 hrs 1972  to fill the tank and now at $10 .50 per hr its 89 hrs in 2012           dave

I think min wage was around a buck 50 in 1972 but no for sure I had a good job then 475.00 a week, company car, credit cards and free insurance which would not buy a tank of fuel now lol

The only reason that my bus is for sale, is that I'm overseas working and have no plans to return anytime soon.
I just don't have a use for it.

Ok the weatherman lied,(like he even knew) it will be cooler in arcadia for the rally, even cold at night(for florida),But we are indoors.  good news is we presently have over 215 door prizes to give away, now with only 92 coaches and a few single rally goers, if you dont win something, means you weren't there for the drawings, still plenty of  generator spaces,( never run out), caterers are on stand by waiting to add your name, just call in, pay when you arrive, we need head counts for additional food.  See ya all soon.  Bill and Brenda  arcadiarally.com

31 deg last night in Arcadia at Jack's, good snugglin' weather. But 72 deg and sunny all day, sitting outside in shirtsleeves.  We'll be getting ready for you all on Christmas day, so when you arrive on the 26th, the party will start and the tours too.  We are really looking forward to seeing old friends, modifications, and making new friends.

We can hardly wait!!!  See you all soon!!  Thanks Bill and Brenda ( or should that be Brenda and Bill ) for carrying this on.
