I am new to your group, and new to bus conversions. We have purchased a 1988 MCI A102, and have been working on converting this for road trips and tailgating.  Our current challenge is with the king dome satellite antenna system we purchase and have had installed. We are using the Dish system.  We have 2 Dish receivers, for 2 TVs to be able to watch 2 different channels.  It seems regular stations are on satellite 110 and 119, but HD is on 129.  We cant seem to be able one TV on a 110/119 channel, and the other TV on an HD channel.  When we try this, we loose both and the system goes into a search mode.  Dish techs do not seem to be much help, but it seems that Dish is not the problem.  Kingdome techs have told us to lock on satellite 1000.  We have tried that, but that does not seem to solve the problem either.  Does anyone have some insight on how or what we need to do to get this system to work?  Appreciate any and all help.  I am really only a novice at best in all of this.  Electronics, mechanical, and especially in converted a great vehicle, but we are having a lot of fun and looking forward to a lot of great times with this new to us vehicle.

Thanks for your help.  Joe

I have a Kingdome 9762 and recently had a similar problem. I think that some of the HD channels are on the 110 satellite but most are on 129. Are you using a destacker? Some of the tech help at King Controls are not quite as good as others, it took numerous calls and I finally was handed off to a quy named "Yur"(not sure if this the correct spelling) that solved the problem.  It seems that Dish had made some changes that required a software update in the King Dome box that connects to the Dish receiver.  After the update and a different LNB in the dome everything has worked fine.  I would suggest talking to Yur and have him check your software versions and verify that you have the destacker and wiring correct.
Hope this will help

Doug,
Thanks for the suggestions, and the POC at King controls.  We will give this a try, and hope we can get the system working correctly.
