Hi, I have to ask a question. I have a chance to buy a 4107, but it looks very different? Can someone tell me why? Here is a link to the 4107 Im thinking about buying.

Hman,

I couldn't get your link to work.

Scott's bus is heavily modified with Eagle-style caps both front and rear. I'm guessing the one you're looking at is still basically stock.

That is an Eagle model 01. The only huge problem is the rear axle torsalastics are no longer being made. Other than that they are a great coach, I have one! ;D

And it's 40', not 39'.
With an 8v92 and auto with power steering, it's been upgraded and the hard work done.

Harleyman,
I would not buy any bus without, at a minimum, inspecting it in person first.  Preferably, if you are not familiar with buses, you would have a fellow busnut go with you to inspect the house systems.  Have a mechanic inspect the engine and chassis of anything you are seriously considering buying.  It's a lot cheaper than a $20k mistake.  I didn't, and it cost me $2k in repairs.  I got lucky.

I speak from experience here.  I spent 9 months looking for my bus, and pictures simply do NOT reflect the reality of seeing things in person.  You need to be able to use all your senses, including smell, hearing, and feeling.  A 2-D photo, even in high res, is not the same.  I traveled very far, including trips on airlines, to see many disappointments.  The jewels are hard to uncover.  I decided after many heartbreaks to limit my shopping to buses that were within a day's drive of my home.

Thanks Scott, but Im not planning on buying anything that hasn't been fully checked out by someone. I was just wanting to know if that was a decent bus and could pull a trailer with my harley and car in   it without problems. Since I will be fulltiming in it I will need to pullmy car and bike. Also From other posts Im guessing that these buses take a lot to heat and cool.
