Just saw news that northwestern Costa Rica got hit with a 7.6 quake.  I don't know what part of Costa Rica John lives in.

He was on at 9:36 am.today. Hope that is good sign.  Bob

The quake was at 10:42 EDT.  Reports are that it was a deep quake, hence less damage, and there are few reports of widespread damage or injuries.

 hi mike thanks for thinking about us the quake was far from us but everyone felt it but me i was on the road
but when i got home my wife was scared said the whole place moved but we are fine no damage thank god.
but a few places got bad damage and we were are on alert  thanks again to everyone you are all like a big
