I have recently noticed there is a leak inside the bus in front of the left wheel area. When I put up the walls I

noticed there is a line that runs up to the defroster. I left enough space so the wall wouldn't rub the pipe.

Evidently that has taken place.Question now is, what is the best way to replace that line without taking out the wall?

Not sure on the B, on the 5C there was a shut off valve connected with hose to copper lines. This is in front of and above the wheel well.

This shut off valve is to the left of the driver near the floor, it should be accessible through the electric compartment outside, again not sure on the B. There are also hoses connecting the driver heater core to copper lines, these could also be the cause  ???

That is where I would look first.    If you have already eliminated that, I would be checking out electric defrosters.

Jim, I noticed when I looked in the back on the left side of the engine compartment there appears to be some type of check
valve on a line that looks like it might be the one that supplies the defroster, if that's the case, would the leak be comming from the back flow of that line?

Again, I am referencing a 5C. There was a valve in the engine compartment on the driver side above the rear electric panel. That was the supply shut off for the driver heater/defroster.

I would think there is a check valve some where in the return line, but do not recall one?

Leaks can be very frustrating and hard to locate.    JIm

You can always terminate and re-run/re-route with metal or hose or combination.

Yes, a most unpleasant situation...

happy coaching!

If you shut off the gate valve on the left engine compartment up high near the bulk head that should be the line that take the water to the heater core and defroster. There is one on the other side which is the return line to the engine low near the fuel filter area. You can shut both those off and disconnect them possibly on the side going into the back of the living area and replace the lines starting there. We left our's accessible in a toe kick under couch in cabinets and in wire chases separated from any wiring. Should be a copper pipe with rubber connectors at about 10 foot or 20 foot apart. Generally the hose clamps give up and thats where it leaks. Look in your bays up at the ceiling to see if you can see wet or dripping and sometimes you can get to it from there also. HTH
