ID Brake Part

I found a major air leak coming out the center hole with a pin in it.  This device is on the bottom of what I believe to be my "wet" tank.  I believe this must be a auto drain.  It is made by Bendix and has the number 450 on it. 

Is my guess correct? Is it rebuild-able?  Or should I just replace it?

Does it look kinda like a square about 4" on each side?  If so, it is probably an auto drain.  Yes, there is a rebuild kit Bendix part 282134.  I have two of these on my bus.

Federal law requires a tank with an auto drain also have a manual drain.  I haven't had another look at my tanks to see where an auto drain might be.

   Coming out the bottom of this tank I have a manual valve on one side and the auto drain on the other.  The auto drain has a pin in the middle of the four inch square and is embossed with "push pin to drain manually".

I guess we are all going to benefit from you going to Bendix school.  Thank you for sharing.

Eagles have used the auto drains since the 70's  Art you can buy a kit for those but most of the time it just needs to be clean up a little also you can buy just the needle for$ 1.14  keep it they work  good and are simple to change valve needle

I happen to have these on my bus so I knew what they are.  I did look up the rebuild kit in the catalog I got from class.

I know BW doesn't like the automatic drains, but they are really a very simple design.  They should spit out air basically once for every compressor cycle.
