Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, a good Reisling in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming:  WOO HOO, what a ride

Richard, yes the same breed but not the same dog! They come in all colors and that's what they do best... herd cattle!

Bud is so funny and he obviously has been spoiled since bringing him home that with all the toys he has 9don't know where he got them from) he herds them up in a pile in the middle of the LR after he is done playing with them! He had his last shot yesterday and all is good. The vet said that he is in excellent condition for being 6 months old. He has gained 10 lbs since the last time there. Now he is 35lbs. He's good at stalking (not catching) squirrels, flys, and lizards. It's the grasshoppers that make him sick! Yuck, that brings back memories! So far he has learned to sit, shake, and give me a high five, all for a treat of course! He learns fast, listens well and loves you back. Can't ask for much more than that! I'm very happy with him!

Now if I could only teach him to help out with the bus!

Never take a knife to a gunfight!

Teach him to be a copilot.  My little miniture doxin likes to sit in my lap, yours is to big, and she barks at the people, horses, and other things within sight, she makes sure nothing gets close.  When all else fails she curls up in my lap and goes to sleep.  She also draws all the women from 2 to 92 to her.  They just love her, and I try to stay close to get some of the fall out, haha.
Mine loves to travel.  Looks like you have a great dog.  At one time I had a mix of a Texas catalooa, misspelled, and Dingo.  She was also a cattle dog, but she would chase them back to you which made for some interesting times.
