Full Stainless simulators...where have you guys been getting them? and How much

I have 20's on the 04 now going to switch to 22.5 buds....

Lookin for a set of Simulators...

and BTW, i dont have to change the front studs do I ?

I though this was a quick change over to 22.5's...

I read in another post, that there was an issue here in doing this...

If you have stud piloted Budd wheels now, there is no issue. Changing the studs would only be needed if you are going from Steel wheels to aluminum. Aluminum is thicker & you need longer studs.

Fronts are splits.......

I have never changed from those  to buds before...

I would like to go with simulators, if i wont have to get into changing studs...

but if i have to go through all that with the studs, i will just put alcoa's on it, and call it a day...


When i went from Steel buds to alloy's on the front of a Kenworth..i had to order longer studs as i knew i would...and it took like 2 months to get them....the studs were on double secret backorder or something...LOL

trying to avoid that hassle with the coach......hence the question on the simulators...

the coach is a 57 4104...TIA for any heads up......

      Yeah, maybe.  Nice looking, solid stainless, seem to be well-made.  $700 for two axles -- ouch!

Eagle thanks for the link, but i'm looking for the full "dish" contour style.......

Think i'm just gonna have to go alloy.....

Thought stainless would be nicer maintanance wise.

The trouble with simulators, besides spending money on them...

You can't see what's going on with the wheel fasteners, axle fasteners or a leaking axle seal.

Look around the highways, you don't see very many of them out there except on campers... Wonder why?

If you are getting new rims, get freshly re-finished ones and call it done?

Jeezpeez...who here has had a wheel lug nut come loose...or lost an axle....
simulators aren't that invasive...not everything is a basis for gloom, just sayin..
though for me steel rims and paint are fine...

I have 2 rear wheel simulators that i took off of my bus. Would sell for a hundred bucks but anyone that wants them would have to pick them up in either Yuma or at the rally in Quartzsite next year.
