Any idea where I can find an Allison HT740 or HT741(ATEC) transmission for sale?  Must be a compatible to a
6V92 mechanical engine (not DDEC).  I live in Vancouver Canada.

I think the G. Hargreaves mentioned that he is selling the one he got from me.  I believe he did a power plant change or something like that.

The 754 CR is the best for a 6v92 the little guy loves the close ratio 5 speed, no way would I consider a older electronic Allison like a 741

Just keep in mind the 754 is a fair bit longer than the 740.  This will shorten your drive shaft length.  Also, I found the 740 in plentiful supply and much cheaper than the 754.  I sold my recently overhauled 754 CR with proof of overhaul for $4500 when I completed my power train swap in 2007.  If you decide to go the route of the 754 I have an almost brand new drive shaft that would probably work for you.  PM me if you are interested.

You got a good price for the 754 they don't bring that kind of bucks here 1000 to 2500 about tops more popular on the west coast than a 740

JC, I put a S50 B400 package that I bought from the local transit company. It was a repower for them . They converted the S50 gas bus to Diesel . They put on 200,000 kms and the buses were scrapped after the Olympics.
