fresh water tank repair

Our fresh water tank has a small pin hole. I have been reading, and it appears that a fiberglass patch will stick to these tanks. Anyone have any experience with fixing the fresh water tank?

It's a Rono poly tank.

Weld it buy a cheap plastic welder at HF less than 20 bucks with the rods a permanent fix fiberglass will turn loose over time

it can be welded with plastic, or use the kit for pinholes at places like adventurerv.net. (about $12) at any rate it needs to be dry where you are working. i have used fiberglass, but since i learned to plastic weld, i do that.
Welding is mostly heating n applying plastic to the area. hope this isnt too far off the mark...

A hot melt glue gun will make a good temporary repair.

A coarse thread SS sheet metal screw with a dab of silicone seal and a plastic washer will probably make an easy permanent repair if the hole is small.

This also works on metal if it isn't rusted too much.

We plan to invest in the cheap weld gun. It looks like the little hole was from teeth. There was on old nest in the corner next to the tank. It had been patched once. This thing was such a pita to get out, we sure don't want a patch to leak.

Is it polyethylene or polypropylene? I tried to find someone to weld my polyethylene tank and the person I found said the welds would be quite brittle. Polypropylene is not an issue to weld.
