This summer I got my pneumatic windshield washers all cleaned up and working on my 5a.. Removed it and put in the garage to replace that last O ring. Tonight I went out to do a few things and found the washer unit on its side with the bottom plastic tank busted. Any body have any clue as to if this could be replaced ,or is a total replacement the best solution.
thanks.Mike

For used, try Caylor Supply.  For new try MCI.  Pretty standard across the older MCI line.  I would convert to electric myself, you can pick up the parts out of a junk yard, or one source for new is Hayden.

I converted my 4905 to electric after I did a post-mortem on the old pneumatic pump.  It was a bunch of dried up rubber, broken springs and rusty goopy water!  After google searching for what seemed to be days, I discovered that there aren't new ones being made.

The hardest part of converting to electric was installing the 24to12VDC converter I had bought a while back.  I figure the effort wasn't wasted as I will need other 12 VDC gadgets while underway, including my new GPS speedometer.

My windshield washer is pneumatic, but not a pneumatic pump.  Air pressure is used to move fluid from the tank out to the windshield.  There is an electric solenoid valve that controls the operation.  Very simple.
