no excuses Bob.  You have 2 buses, one would have been enough to be here.  I have no sympathy since i only have one bus, not two :-).

you're just going to have to believe me when i say it's more fun here than wherever you are. and warmer here.

We just finished listening to a really great Arcadia oldies band.  Yeah, i know it's only 11:30PM, but we're oldies too.

I wasn't going to reply but I gotta say, although Jack had some good years hosting this rally, this rally IMHO this has been the best rally yet with the exception of number one when it was small and we toured each and every bus Personally! Bill and Brenda poured their hearts into making this rally a success and even though it's far from over, it's turned into a GREAT place to be! Many many positive comments and questions as to why it couldn't have been like this sooner! That should tell you something about how good it really is! All I can say is if your not here, your missing out!
Thank you Bill @ Brenda

Well ya'll go ahead and live it up & rub it in!

Some of us working stiffs have to do just that!

Dad an I left Friday afternoon (wanted to be on the road before noon, but things just kept popping up!) an drove a bus over to Gatlinburg, TN to fix another one of ours that had a problem just before reaching Gatlinburg.
The driver called in an said he'd lost almost all power an it would barely pull a hill.
I was pretty sure (about 95%) a turbo boot had blown, but not positive. So we took tools, boots, & clamps along with a spare bus just incase.
Got to G-burg Friday night and less than 2 minutes after getting there we found I was right it had blown a turbo boot off the air to air charge cooler.
Well finding the problem was much quicker than fixing it. It took dad, the driver & I the better part of 2.5 hrs to get at and replace the boot.

Then dad & I loaded tools back in the bus and headed home. Just after we went thru Nashville an associate called and apologized for waking me up @ 3:30 AM, but he had a bus broke down and needed advice.
Well I told him I was sorry to disappoint him, but he hadn't woke me up as dad an I were on our way home an had just gone thru Nashville.
He asked if we were in a bus, and when I told him yes he asked could we make a left turn and go down to L.A. (lower Alabama) and pick up his people an bring them back to KY.
I told him I reckoned we could an to give me a few minutes to pull of an exit an call him back.

So we got stopped called him back talked to him, got the drivers #, called him. Determined he'd had an after cooler failure of some sort. (water pouring out of the air box drains but not in the oil) and the engine hydrolocked.
So we found out exactly where he was an turned around went back 15 miles to I-65 S and went down to mm 196 where he was on the NB shoulder. We had to got to the 187 exit to turn around.
Came back N and picked up him & the passengers and headed to Madisonville, KY an dropped them off an returned home 28 hrs later.

We are whooped and I'm sorry to say I'm only gonna be celebrating the New Year with ya'll in spirit and not on the chat/live feed as I am fix'n to go to bed.

Get your brand new calendar book, bend it open to the last page and scrawl in there the last week in large letters with your crayon:  ARCADIA

And then make it happen.

book passage, save up, quit your job, divorce your obstructing spouse, write the kids out of the will,

Period, full stop, no more excuses.
