We don't get much rain in Yuma, about 4 inches a year on average. Yesterday set a record for that date, 1.12 inches. The old record for Dec. 13th was  .74 inches,......set in 1902.  We are originally from the foothills of the Cascades in western Washington so we are used to rain, a lot of rain. :)  We are just a few miles east of Yuma and it didn't seem to rain that much to me. Now this morning we have a weather warning for fog with visibility down to 1/4 mile,....don't  see fog in Az, very often.... Must be global warming. ;D  Wish it would hurry up and get here so i wouldn't have to run the heaters in the morning. :D

Now that was a pretty good rainstorm!!  We went out for dinner and almost didn't get back to the bus that night. :o   Maybe we will get some spring flowers this year if it rains again. ;D

I am in the west end of Yuma and it rained pretty darn much here as there was standing water an inch and a half deep to wade in and it all was in eight hours time. It's all soaked in this AM but the fog is thick as I can't quite see to the other end of the RV park Jerry

Fog out in the Foothills too, looks like about what they said. 1/4 mile visibility or less, but looks like it will burn off fast. ;D

I know. We are enjoying it while it lasts!  ;D

It doesn't compare to where I grew up, Valsetz, OR. It averaged 144" of rain per year. Now that's some rain!

You guys going back to Q keep an eye open for my landing pads.  We were using them for stepping stones across the creek in front of Larry Hall's bus in the afternoon and then they floated away in the night when the creek turned into a river.  I expect they're west of Clifford's place by now.

Fog you haven't seen fog until you live on the river. We had 2 trucks go off the levee the other night. 1 guy lucky he went off the farmland side, the other rolled into the river with a 10,000.00 Lincoln welder in back of his truck and they said that, that saved his butt, because it acted as a roll bar behind him and kept it from going completely in to the water.
