My hub oil is Coffee-colored (Photos) Compliments of Hurricane Irene

I'd not be worrying too much about rinsing, you've got the water/oil mix drained out, put fresh and go for a good 100 miles freeway drive in order to get the hubs nice and warm, and any remaining moisture will leave.

The oil will clearly show you by its colour if there's water lurking.

Lucas? If you want, but any name brand oil company's lube will suffice.

Careless use of a hose or a pressure washer will do the same, get water in the bearings.

So, I did everything...but the rear driver tag is just pouring the new oil out the bottom of the hub-cover. I need a new gasket...probably should just buy a new hub cover...sigh.  :-\
