I think everyone here knows it has been a very challenging year for BCM, and for me personally.  In the two and a half years I have been at the helm of the business, I've done my level best to lead the management team (Chad & Phil).  Every decision was guided by what would be best for the magazine and the bus nut community that makes it possible.

Recently I made another decision with that goal in mind.  It was very difficult for me personally but I firmly believe it is the right decision for BCM.   To stabilize and grow, the business has needs that I personally am unable to provide at this time.  Therefore I am stepping down from leadership and day-to-day management of the business to clear the way for another that can support the magazine's needs.

BCM will still be owned and published by Bus Conversion Enterprises, Inc., and Chad & Phil are still owners and Board members.  A familiar face will be returning to lead the management team and help the magazine grow from here.  I ask you to support him as you have supported me.  BCM has been here for bus nuts for 20 years.  With the renewed resources and your support I am confident it will be here for us all for many years to come.

I will always be a member of the bus nut community and a part of this forum and will always be one of BCM's biggest fans.  In fact, I expect that I will once again be more active in the forum and chat room.  Also as opportunities arise, I will be helping out with BCM web design projects.

How does this if at all effect new subscribers? I subscribed last week and was wondering when the first issue is normally delivered.

Is there any monthly issue in the works? Only a couple weeks ago you were saying how an Oct issue was going to the printers? I usually would've got my e version by email at that time but nothing. Tell us more.

BCM

As you've read above, Mike Sullivan has resigned his post and I have been assigned the take over duties.  I believe we all appreciated the great work and time Mike has put into the magazine, and will miss his leadership, and we look forward to his continued support and help with the magazine.
As some on you may know, I started the publication back in 1992, after 18 years or so, I took off for a few years (2009).  Now that I'm back at it, I'm looking forward to the magazine's future development.  Chad Laines is still on board as well as Phil Lyons. So between the 3 of us, we will let you know in the upcoming weeks of our progress. But more importantly we ask for your input on ideas and your help.  In this trouble economy.  The cost of printing is way up, the cost of postage is way up, and rising next month. We see more and more publications are going the way of on-line magazines.  We are looking at all options, so give us your feedback. Currently thinking of mixing the print issue with the on-line issues
I'm very excited about the new website design we are looking at (The Board will stay untouched!) and other great things.  So, thank you all for the support and well have answers in the next week.

The new President will be making a post to this thread shortly.  As for effect on subscribers, new and old, the company remains the same, only a change in leadership and some extra resources.  I anticipate that it will help get things back onto a good routine.

It was layed out and at the printers.  There were further delays and then this change started.  Because of the change in leadership location, printing is going back out to the west coast.  Since it was not yet printed, the order was withdrawn from the printer here.   My understanding is that an issue will be printed right away.

Good Luck to all of you and us (subscribers). I have been a subscriber since the very beginning. I value the magazine as a reference, besides having usually been enjoyable reading. I believe that Mike has done more for our hobby, through the magazine, than any other contributor to the fun of bus conversions, and that says a bunch as there are many others that have contributed as well.
Again, Good Luck.

Mike, i'm sorry it didn't work out for you.  you are a great person with great abilities and i think you really made an effort.  i hope to see you this winter, if not in Chatanooga on the way south, then in Arcadia.  Thanks for all you did.

MAK, Thanks for stepping back in and up to the task.  i'm a supporter of what has been done, both before Mike and during Mike's reign as lead man.  I wish you well and let me know what i can do to support it.

A big THANKS to HTR for all you have done. After all the time we spent together in Arcadia and at our Bussin' rallies, I probably know better than most how hard you worked to make BCM a better magazine.
Welcome back MAK, Let us know what we can do fo help BCM continue.  Jack

Wondering who will that new person be.

Mike, thank you for your service with the magazine. We all know you poured your heart into this. Thank you.

I look forward to seeing what happens next. For the record, I like the paper copy, but understand if it needs to be E only.

Thanks,

John

I'm wondering why the issue ready to print couldn't have gone to the current printer while they find a new printer?  The magazine is already so far behind that every additional day of delay probably means more subscribers choosing not to renew.
