Just got an email from a fellow bus nut that the annex building and grounds at the Museum of Bus Transportation in Hershey, PA is flooded.  Sent a picture of water clear up to the roof line on several buses.  No word yet on any flooding at the actual museum building.  Bad news.

The Museum itself sits on high ground and has not been affected.

Sad about the Annex, tho.

Lots of other losses in the area too. . .

This is sad, because there are enough people(Busnuts) in the local area like me who could have helped to move them, had they put out the word.  >:( :'(

I believe that most of these will move under their own power, and the water didn't come up super quick.

This will get me flamed, however I have to say it; those folks up there have proven to not make good decisions, look at the Mack bus fiasco!

It can sometimes be hard to get things done in a hurry with a non-profit group run by a board of directors.  Even worse if most of the help is volunteers.

From the blog it sounds like they had no way to move the fleet as most don't run.  I wonder if insurance will just total all the buses for a fraction of the real worth?
