Could be a bit low on freon.  Try to set the thermostat higher-then gradually lower the temp down to what you want.  Good Luck, TomC

Robert  you are low on freon, you will have to let it thaw out before you can recharge it .  uses R-22 same As house freon.

In  this case it has a service valve (schrader) soldered into line. Has been serviced before we got it; will look for leak and ck from there.  to install you drill 1/8 inch hole in side line and  silver solder assembly in place. This gives you future access to system to pump down etc.

Zeroclearance

Robert from what I have read, icing can be from restricted airflow or dirty core.  The last thing to check is the freon charge.

Some regular degreaser solevant works good to clean them if that is the case. I would bet that the coolant level is low like others have said.

Make sneak into a car wash with the unit and give her a good bath. ;D

When I took possession of my bus one A/C was too low to even start. I added a refrigerant line tap valve, and using the manufacture's recommended pressure I recharged it. The tap valve was supposed to be a quick and temporary fix just to see if the A/C would work, but five years later it is still working great. For less than $20 it sure beats having to solder in a valve and pulling a vacuum etc.

OOOOOWWWWW!   Thank you Barn Owl.  No telling how many tens of thousands of repair money you saved the board with that one.  Really.....great!

Thanks,

John
