New use for OTR A/C blower compartments?

Dear Fellow Busnuts:

We have uncovered the non-working Over-The-Road A/C ventilator-condenser compartments, one on each side of the aisle. Here we have a usable space of 30.71 inches long (along the wall), by 24.8 inches wide (between aisle and wall) and 18.9 inches deep. (78 cms. by 63 cms. by 48 cms.) So I have been thinking! The one on the driver's side could house my fresh water tank and the other one my house batteries. What do you think? It would come out to about 62 gallons (Maybe not enough?)

By the way, these two compartments are directly above the 120-gallon diesel tank.

So here is the space with the dividing wall removed.

By the way, my welder friend says he will make me the tanks whatever size I want. There is a large scrap metal place here, and we can buy the stainles steel sheets for not much. He figures around 800-1,000 pesos ($70-90 U. S.) per tank, material and labor. The only other option is the fiberglass guy in town, which would be over double in cost. What do you people think?

My concern about the scrap stainless is what it was used for before it was scrapped.   Alot of stainless gets used for chemical tanks and hazardous materials.

PS have you ever been inside a 100,000 gallon STEEL potable water tank.....I have.

I have cut up about 20 different 1000 gallon plus tanks, I have no idea what they where used for tho.
