Transmission Filter Question

When I put the allison in this winter it has a spin on filter, the problem is that the filter is about 2" to long and is rubbing on on of the cooler lines. It is a Fram#P3613 my local truck parts store can't find anything a little bit shorter, If it's not in the book they don't know what to do. If any one would know of a filter with the same base put shorter I would really appreciate it. Thanks Jason

Jason, give these people a call Mon tell them you have Wix 51623 filter with 1 5/16-12 threads you want the same only shorter   www.fleetfilter.com  they can fix you up Napa should be able to do the same.
anyway you can lay it down on it side those are just hydraulic filters really nothing special they don't have to be upright to work
