Looking for 8D AGM batteries in the southeast

Folks,

Our house batteries are done.  After over four years and 2,000 cycles, our eight Trojan 8D AGMs no longer hold enough charge to keep our generator run time down to something reasonable, and they need to be replaced.  We had planned to take care of this in May in the PNW, but mother nature had other plans for us.  We now find ourselves in the southeast, sitting in Jackson, MS and leaving in a few days for Charlotte, NC.

We are looking for a stocking distributor somewhere in the southeast who can provide us with a new set of AGMs.  Having them shipped someplace is out of the question, as no one we know is going to want to accept 1,300 pounds of batteries and hold them for us, nor could we deal with returning the used cores in such a circumstance.  So we need someplace where we can pick them up directly, and leave the take-outs.  Ideally, they would also have someone who could help me wrestle them in and out of the tight space in which they live.

Actual brand is less important that the specs.  They need to be AGM, size 8D, with both terminals on one narrow end, and a minimum of 220 amp-hours at the 20-hour rate.  I'd like to pay no more than $500 apiece with trade, but I know the market may not support that,

If anyone has any recommendations or suggestions, please email me, PM me, or post them here.  Thanks.

Sean,
I know I'm not on your beaten path, but if needed you can have them shipped/stored here! (we have a forklift and grunt labor both!)
As for local suggestions of where to buy them locally I have none.

Sean you might call Carolina Energy as they are the master disributor for Trojan in the Carolinas and eastern GA and TN 800-472-5583 they will usually tell you which of their locals will give you a good deal - It might help to tell them you just got off deployment with the Red Cross and could use a little help yourself  ;)
