NJT trans ATEC in older MCI

I am not sure which model trans is in the 1987 MC-9 NJT but am wondering if it can be put into a 1984 MCI also with a 6V-92 but not a DDEC.
The trans in the NJT is electronic shift with keypad. I know I would need the harness and the ECM or ECU from the bus as well. Just wondering if anyone has adapted one to work.
