With a ticked off wife.  Started home from freer and the 30 mile an hour wind mashing agsint the hot air exhaust heated the genset.  It quit and I can't get her to do anything now.  When I hit the gen starter i can hear what I beleive are te relays making a "eeeeee" sound.  No auto parts are close.

Any suggestions?

Can you short the starter to see if it is working and cut out the start circuit?

seems like batt all fail at the same time but you do realize you just replaced them all at the same period of time. Maybe they will last 5 yrs this time.If all problems solved were that simple life would be a lot less taxing. Take it veg oil savings paid for batt.   Bob

Robert you aint kidding!!!   I took one of the new batteries out of the engine compartment and was going to see if it would do anything.  I am a dumb butt sometimes.  Screw on posts for gen and clamp for the engine.  So I hooked jumper cables to it.  It started clacking but would not turn over.  I also noticed the sides of the old battery were bulged way out.  So I told my wife to suck it up and get in.  It was 44 miles of 100 percent pure south Texas HOT!!  When we got to Walmart and stepped off the bus we both commented on how nice it felt.  I popped the new battery in and it fired right up.  I got on it when we hit 59 again.  Today was definitely a long day.  I have some major projects I am about to get into now that the WVO side of things is completed.  The first is to remote mount the gen radiator and get that bay squared away.  I am about tired of that BS.  THen I might drive to El Campo and whoop the PO's hind end all over that side of Texas.  He could have been honest with me.

Usually, if you keep losing batteries, the voltage is set too high for the temperature. At 120 degrees, the liquid lead acid batteries should be regulated to around 12.6 volts. 13.8 volts will cook them.

THe batteries were getting on up there in years.  The one yesterday was 6 years old.  The 3 main batteries were 4 years old.
