I have Todd  electrical boxes also. I did an internet search for Todd Engineering parts and came up with several sites. I did not go through too many of them but it appears replacement parts are still available. They will not be titled Todd but they will replace that part.

Have a busted Todd 50 amp box. It is missing the relay that hooks to the primary cord.

Some one drove off without removing the plug. jerked out the relay.

Replaced it with plugs and sockets. the cheap and easy way.

I much prefer the Todd Engineering type transfer to those made by Iota and others.

Todd was replaced by Lyght which was then bought by Esco.  I think they still make the same type switch

The difference is that the Todd/Lyght/Esco, etc, use three pole, single throw contactors (essentially a three phase motor reversing contactor), while the others use double throw contactors.  The Todd type is more robust and much more failsafe.

If it fails to operate, you simply don't have power connected to anything.  If the other type fails you may have the power switched and not the neutrals, leading to all kinds of possible problems, especially if you are wired for 240 off the generator.

What is wrong with yours?  I have the same and mine will not work on time delay, but it works with the instant switch over.  (That is what the dip switch is for in the picture)  That's not good on the auto start sequence as it engages the loads as soon as it senses some power during the crank sequence.

OK,what happened.
First the previous owner had the forethought (after a board failure ?) to order a replacement AND a spare.
I know this because the coach maint records are that complete.. :)
One day I neeeded my gen, which services my all electric coach, with my only AC/Heat (basement/central 240v).

After a 'quick" troubleshoot and a super hot AZ day I kinda did a maybe it's that little board..so I changed it.
I was not aware that the dip sw is a "bypass" ability.
So, I began with a small pair of needle nose and ( tried to ) wiggled off the female spades....in the process two of the male spades pulled loose (completely) from the board.
I have never encountered spades that tight....So my only choice was to hope that the spare was actually a serviceable unit, and not a "keepsake".
It turned out to be a fix. everything worked as before, normal.
Now i am unsure ( but reasonably certain) that the problem was not "loose" male spade terms on the board.

And often traveling to youknownowhere.... 8)....I want a spare or two.
I will follow up on all of these leads.
I really like the Todd unit.Mine is the single phase contactor design.
But with an all electric coach "flipping" the main to use my gen (load dumped) seems a pain and probably not so good......
THNXS I will follow-up with search/aquisition results..... ;D

I think I have the complete owner's manual for mine, but I won't be back at the bus for a week.  Do you need a copy?
