Question:  Do we need special 120V AC interior light bulbs considering the vibration of the bus or will regular ones do?

As always - Thanks

Danny
I have heard it said, "life comes at you fast".  I didn't know it would be in the shape of a bus  :-)

The reg. house hold will work fine.

Never had any problem with regular ones although "heavy duty" ones might be a better bet towards longivity.
That said, the biggest problems with vibration damage only occur when the bulb is lit... unlikely when you're driving down the road.
When they're off they are a lot less prone to damage...

Hello Danny.

Regular house stuff is fine.

You may want to think hard about using the lower power compact flourescents in order to reduce power needs.

happy coaching!

I agree with buswarrior.  I am using fluorescent bulbs in some lights & they are very nice. I am going to replace them all shortly. They use less power and give off less heat for the same amount of light. Be advised the come in different color "temperatures" depending on what you want to do in the area in which they are used. A quality electrical supply house should have all varieties on display. Have Fun!

We installed two flourescent bulbs (the ones that replace regular 60 w incands) in our end table lamps.  We lay the lamps on the bed when traveling.  The flourescent lights cannot handle the laying down and riding.  Both bulbs broke away from their bases....I snapped them back in, and they  seem OK,  but they don't like being on their side.   Not very durable.  The weight of the light section pulls away from the base if layed over on its side.   Otherwise, they make nice light, minimal power use.  We just have to store them in a vertical position.
I've never had any problems with any kind of lights failing in RV use other than these flourescents.
