I would say your gauge is off a little Wayne the DD have a relief valve inside the engine that dumps the oil back into the pan set at 50 lbs you can shim it an get another 5 or so lbs but hot you get 5 to 50 lbs of oil pressure so there is nothing wrong with your buds oil pressure

I believe your right Luvrbus.  I do believe his motor would have tanked by now anyway as that pressure has been constant for a year.
