Lets talk oil viscosity!

Since the topic is viscosity...an interesting bit of information here...NOT TWO STROKE RELATED...just to clear that up.

I have been running 15w40 in everything I own for the last 30 years, lawnmowers, motorcycles (crankcase-not injection/fuel mix), cars, light trucks, little diesels, big diesels...everything but a two cycle detroit.

Makes things kinda simple!

However, if I ever own another two cycle detroit, I'll run straight 40

Most of my vehicles call for 5/30 weight so that's what I use. I generally lean towards 20/50 in my bikes. Everything except the bus is synthetic. I might have used synthetic in the bus but wonder how hard it is to get washed of the trailer I'm towing!!
