Watching the news here in Indianapolis, there was a segment about the rise in fuel prices in the coming weeks due

to the unrest  across the pond, What is the   average price of diesel  across the states?

In Virginia they are ranging anywhere from $2.87 ( in the south wast ) to 3.35 ( north east near DC ).  Any way you look at it , more than I like.......

Interesting that oil prices went up by almost 8% today.  That is quite the single day jump.

Oil prices had been going down slightly even during the whole Egypt crisis.

Diesel's almost $4 here in LaLa-land.   This means that last weekend's trip up to the high desert cost me about $0.50 a mile.   No bueno.   (And it snowed several inches overnight  -  I've never seen my engine make so much smoke the next morning when it started!)   Funny how the closer you are to the refinery, the more it costs . . .

Just wondering, how much oil does the US buy from Libya?

$3.42 here in NJ, nearer to the east coast refineries. No Joy.

The unrest in the middle east is just beginning and unfortunately may continue. This is not good, understatement of the year.

I am driving to Dayton later this week & taking the Escape due to the prices. (Free Marriott rooms weighed in on decision)

Kind of like seafood, closer you get to the bay, the higher the price, go out in the valley and it is cheaper.

Go figure?

I read yesterday that prices aren't espected to go up much because of ample oil and gasoline inventories and low demand in the US.

We import the vast majority of our oil from Canada so what does that have to with the middle east ? most of the oil we import is refined and shipped back to different countries very few refineries are owned by a American Co any longer the ones that are people complain they make too much money Israel owns about all of the West Tx and Utah refineries now what you are paying now is just the beginning. Chavez refines his oil here and ships every drop out to different countries like Iran, Cuba and others we pay over 3 bucks they pay .12 cents lol

good luck

I refuse to worry about fuel prices.  There is absolutely nothing I can do to affect them, so I refuse to worry about them.  If fuel goes up, I guess I'll just have to pay more for it.
