I'm getting ready to remove 8 stock windows and install the window skins soon. What did you guys use as a template to get all the rivets spaced out correctly and lined out in a straight row???  Also, have any of you ever used the "Drive Type" rivets where you use a hammer to set them?

Thanks

You could use peg board, like in your garage to hang tools on. Just pick your spacing, and dot with a sharpie.

When I did my truck, I used an old wooden yardstick and drilled marking holes at the proper interval.  Then used a sharpie to mark each hole.

Worked great, but the drilling was not a lot of fun :o

I used the standard pop rivet (did not have to match any rivet on the truck).  If you go that route, you will need an air powered tool.

I bought a pantogragh rivet spacer from on-line.

Made the job super easy.  That and cleco's were money well spent.

I just used a t square and made sure to always mark at the same measurements.  I put in over 1,000 rivets with one hole in the wrong location that was easily fixed.
