watch out for home overhangs. OUCH

Well here is one you all will appreciate. just so ya know when i got the bus the rear looked fairly decent. I didn't know at first there is 3 windows back there because someone painted them black.
well as I backed into the drive after a 100 mile drive just to get things burned clean. I found that looking thru the mirror I could see I was well away from the house. Until I heard what sounded like glass breaking. so I set the brake and went to the back to investigate. "holy smokes A Hodge's" the overhang of the house was sticking into the left rear(drivers side) of my bus. did no damage to the overhang but It makes me sick that I busted That darn window. and I doubt it can be replaced.
good thing I know how to do fiberglass. Morale of this story. Just because you can see a wall in the mirror, make sure you can see it's overhang as well.

Yep, been there; done that!  I wanted to get over closer to the house with the bus one day and did the same thing.  I don't know what I had in mind, but I was watching the clearance down next to the wall and forgot about the overhang, which I was'nt watching.  Put some serious scratches in the side of the rear cap.  Left it like that just to remind my D A to crane my neck and look at everything.  Shoulda had Marilyn out there looking out for me.

Yep, watch the bays, bang up your roof. Watch your roof, bang up your bays. Your choice as to which way to do it. I can look at other's buses and see what choice they made without asking.

Sorry about your misfortune.  You're not the first, and won't be the last!

However, there is a bright spot - the glass in your MC-7 is plain old flat automotive glass.

So, if you can get the window frame off the coach, any local glass shop should be able to fix you up.

Any tint may be a challenge, tho.

Ouch, is that the rounded glass piece?  Mine came pre-broken.  Not sure what I'm going to do just yet.   I didn't realize it was glass till I looked closer.  Mine are painted over. Silicon patch to fill the cracks  for the moment I'm guessing.  jm

yes challenger it is the rounded piece in the corner, and yup mine are painted over as well. I think I am just going to fiberglass that whole back section, right over where the whole set of them are simply screw down a couple pieces of fiber board and fiberglass that whole section sort of like a cap. then more paint and poof a new rear.
