I would sure hate to be South bound on either of these interstates today in Florida.  I bet they are one BIG parking lot.  Then again maybe everyone is stuck in the snow in the Carolina's.

I would rather be stuck in a Fl parking lot the here in Chicago

I came up from Miami Friday to Lenoir, NC, saw NO traffic...my brother came down from Elkton, MD through DC, never saw traffic.
I don't think as many folks are traveling this year.

Jack, I'm visiting in Alexandria VA for the past few days.  It's been strange -- some times, I-95 has been crazy (5 hours to get from DC to Richmond) other times the roads have been empty.  I think that Thurs PM was the worst.  But it seems to be all in "how ya hit it".

Traffic has been on the heavier side in Illinois.  The first toll booth on 90/39 coming south into Illinois had a 1/4 mile line for the cash booth.  It was almost backed up onto the main highway.  Luckily, I have an IPass and didn't even have to slown down.

I don't usually travel at Christmas time so I couldn't tell you what normal is.
