ID tank material PLS

 Any one can ID this black tank material, I got a hot air welding gun & want to try to weld a crack in it.

I'm not an expert on plastics but I would guess that if it is black, then it is ABS.

  It's the black water tank, but the color is gray /blue.  Test show that it melt at low temp, lower then the 3 type plastic welding rod that I got. ??

is the fitting in picture of same material? if so take a saw and trim a 1/8 inch cut off top and use for welding rod. Or try something like JB Weld or epoxy. Is crack where you can apply mechanical patch?

A friend in NC bought an plastic welder that uses hot air. The manual that came with it  had a chart showing the different symbols used on plastics to identify them. Are there any identifying symbols on the tank?  (I think they would be similar to the symbols on plastic bottles or plastic body parts on automobiles).  Jack

I repaired a holding tank with an old soldering iron(large elect.) and zip-ties ,fuse it together like welding. 10yrs and still holding.  Gen

  Thankss guys,   I melt the edge with soldering gun to close the crack & then filled & built up with expoxy, will see what developppe.   The fitting are different material, they're glue on & it's not spinned.
