As much as I regret it, I won't be able to attend this year.  But anyone that is travelling down I-75/I-24 on their way to/from the rally (or any other trip) is welcome to visit for a cup of coffee and a walk around to refresh or for an overnight parking spot.  We are just a couple miles off the I-75/I-24 junction.  We have one 30A guest spot, city water and sewer dump, and high speed wifi Internet access near my bus.  There is overnight dry parking for several more buses.  The shop is offering a free inspection over their pit for all visitors on the way to or from the rally.

I hope to see some of y'all while I sit here in my yard gnome.

Mike, the high end owner are hurting also I just downloaded my list from one of the major finance co's for Prevost 133 on the list today fwiw today's economy is hurting us all I am into different investments that no way I would have done a few years ago trying to make a buck

When I bought my bus things were going better financially for me.  My last pay raise was in 2007 and I likely won't get one for 2011 either.  Food, fuel (for non-bus), insurance, and other expenses keep going up regardless if my pay does or not.  My property taxes will go up 8.3% next year.  (No inflation?)

My biggest financial miscue was spending in excess of $25,000 to prep my home for sale in 2007.  I tried to sell the home in 2008 and it didn't sell.  I'm still paying for that miscue.  There isn't any way I could sell in today's market.  (I had unfinished space from when home was built in 2001.)

Finances are pretty tight for me.  My bus was purchased with the intent of using it for group trips, not for my personal use.  Other than the initial trip home I've probably spent about as much personally on fuel for the bus as I will spend just for the trip to Arcadia.  The rest of my group has paid for the rest of the fuel used in the bus.

I budget for maintenance and repairs every year.  I spend the money to have a bus garage do an oil change, lube job, and full inspection (including brakes) every year.  Safety is something I won't skimp on due to finances.

That is a good practice for many.

Just to clarify so there is no misunderstanding for anyone reading my post about the shop, pit and inspection, that is the Choo Choo Express Garage and the inspection would be done by the professional bus mechanic there.  And for anyone wanting any maintenance work done, their labor rate is half that of most.
