Trying to find the wet blanket exhaust insulation.  Thought Jime at RVSafety Systems had it, but not on his web page.  Any help.  Need to insulate the muffler on my diesel gen.
Thanks

According to an older Bus Conversions Magazine, if you're not a subscriber you should be, EHP wet blanket insullation is available from Councours WEst in Long Beach, CA. (310) 433-2121.

Ed,

Try this.  http://www.engineheatprotection.com/products.html

They have a large ad in the latest Bus Conversions magazine on one of the first few pages.

I used it on my really hot Onan exhaust and was amazed. It cut the heat down more than I ever imagined.

I'm now installing a new Honda gen and will use it on this also plus their Rollboard inside the gen box.

We applied the wet wrap to all of the exhaust system and a dry blanket to the muffler.  It was the best $300 invested in the engine compartment.  It really helped keep the heat down in there.  You  can actually put your hand on the exhaust pipes. Cary

Thanks all.  I am leaving for Lake Powell Monday for two weeks.  I have book marked the page and when I get back will get it done.

Cqry,

I wet wrapped my muffler also , it was the first thing I did. It was easier to do than the pipe because the pipe was so crooked. First time I ever used the stuff but sure not the last.
