It must be a repower since it has a Series 60.  I wonder if it was cut down to 45 feet since the standard length on the NASA buses was 48 feet?  A 60KW generator?  Are they turning the entire bus into a freezer?  Isn't 13'7" one inch higher than normal?

The back deck is pretty cool.  I have no idea if the structural integrity has been compromised as I'm not a Neoplan expert.  It would appear to have little or no cargo bay space considering there is a slide on the lower level.

That bus has been discussed on here before, after a previous attempt to sell it on Ebay. If you look on the page on the Walker website below it shows it being constructed:

I think the ambition in taking on such a mammoth project is wonderful, although you can't help but think that the end result could only ever be a complete white elephant.

A shameless plug for my business - visit www.magazineexchange.co.uk for back issue magazines - thousands of titles covering cars, motorbikes, aircraft, railways, boats, modelling etc. You'll find lots of interest, although not much covering American buses sadly.

I saw that thing in person a couple years ago while picking up a NASA Megaliner for a friend. That thing is huge. I got the ten cent tour and all. I have to admit there are some neat ideas there. I liked the refrigerator that was on a platform. It could move to first, second, or roof floors.

I also saw who was involved............................

Not everyday you see a bus with an elevator that stops on three levels!
