Serious accident ???  ?
I wonder if it had anything to do with an engine falling on him?

I've contacted the seller and I think that I've convinced him that his best option now is to part it out.  Looks like he's just off I-80 between Davenport and Cedar Rapids.

This guy gets the Jerkoff of the month award! And is almost certain to win Jerkoff of the year 2010! What a foolish waste.

I see no reason to bad mouth the seller.  He's just a guy that screwed up and I think now he knows it.  We've exchanged a couple of notes and he seems like a decent sort, having some hard times like many of us.  I even invited him to come to this board for advice on what to do.

If you have a 4104, he may prove to be a good source of parts.

I agree, it hurts me to the core to see a bus like this go to the scrapper because of a foolish mistake, but it is certainly not the first or last time it's going to happen.

A little compassion might be in order.

Hey has anyone thought of buyin' it as is and re-installing the engine laying there! Shoot sounds reasonable enough to me! (ain't those 6-71 hard to hurt?)

He probably just looked at HP but not at torque or RPMs, something a lot of people would do.

A 671 is no HP monster for sure.

You guys can probably guess I was looking for a 4104 when I found that beast. Im actually looking at one back up in Minnesota. But that one runs and drives. Im thinking in the end it might be better ( or just as good) to start with one thats never been molested. We'll see.

maybe I'm missing something, but the bus doesn't look much worse then the Scenic I just bought. The difference being someone didn't remove my engine and let it sit in the weather. For the purists. I would think this bus to be quite the find?? If the bus wasn't chopped up removing the cradle/engine, why not try the original engine, with a back up plan to find a running used engine for it? Seems it would be easier to put a good powerplant back in this bus, than try to unconvert a motorhome to a seated arrangement....

Looks like alot of work, but then, "alot" is a relative term.

Appears at first glimpse to be all there. I'd frankly love to have it about just for bits and pieces, but a determined soul could surely put 'er back into serviceable condition. All it takes is time, money and knowledge, I suppose.

These are great 'ol buses, no doubt about it. I sure love mine!

I wonder why the front of it has been replaced? Also the panel under the driver window. Perhaps that corner took a hit? The front is missing the correct headlights and the fresh air inlet which should be behind the GM logo.
