My WTEC tranny did some crazy computer madness once.  The display was blinking and it wouldn't shift out of neutral.

The ironic thing is that it happened at a Detroit Allison dealer in the parking lot  and I had just had the tranny serviced!  I had a service tech come out and look at it, but it worked fine again once the ignition was cycled.  I seem to recall they looked for codes and couldn't find any.  No problems since then.
